A socially responsible Group
D´Ieteren is aware of the impact of its activities and is developing practical initiatives to reduce its footprint. The Group’s three priorities at present are:
- reducing its environmental footprint;
- ethics and values in the conduct of its business;
- supporting local communities.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities are organised independently in each of the Group’s activities to ensure consistency with their own business cultures.
For D’Ieteren Auto and Belron, 2010 was another year of concrete progress, as evidenced by the examples mentioned in these pages, and which are covered in greater detail in the annual report 2010.
The D’Ieteren Group continues to build on its corporate citizenship and to improve coordination of its CSR activities, and is progressively setting up governance and reporting structures in each of its businesses. The aim is to integrate social responsibility into the decision-making processes and everyday work of its two businesses, so that they are better equipped to meet certain challenges in society and to go forward together with staff, customers and other partners, on a more sustainable basis.
